Despite Charm was started in 2011 by Eric Ziegler and John Hockman. At first it was just about having fun and playing covers, until 17 year old Codey Doody joined the band. A fun hobby turned into a "maybe we can actually do something in music" after playing out at many open mic nights eventually their search for other members paid off. Finding Patrick Kobelis on drums from being in a previous band. Then going on to find Casey-Taniel Molyneaux who previously played drums to be on bass. Despite Charm has played with Shinedown, Charm City Devils, Dope, Pentagram, Smile Empty Soul, and many other big name artists. Despite Charm has also been played on Baltimores 98 rock, and 105.7 The X. After creating their very first album Fate, lead singer John left the band to be replaced by Rick Curran, formerly of the band Carpe Diem from Baltimore. The boys and girl shot completely forward with creating brand new songs and are currently working on a brand new E.P. that will be released in the beginning of 2014.
